IC 1318 consists of the brightest portions of nebuosity around Sadr (Gamma Cygni), the central star in Cygnus. The star in this image is just outside the field of the image. You can just see the glowing of the star in the bottom right.
The Nebula isdivided into three portions. IC 1318(a) is the left portion of the Butterfly Nebula and IC 1318(b) is the right portion. IC 1318(c) is not in the image but in a different image I have.
